Assignment 2: Current Event—Reflection
The purpose of this assignment is to allow you to think critically about your current role in society.
The reflection paper should be no more than three double-spaced pages (APA). You must:
Write about a current or major event in your life that is important to you and that you feel has directly impacted your way. (ie. COVID-19, Mass Incarceration in the US, Technology, Police Brutality, Black Lives Matter, #MeTooMovemenr etc.).
- Choose ONE event that has direct sociological implications in your life.
- Include examples from the course to describe these implications. (ie. Deviance, social structure,and society, religion, families, etc.).
- Include how this current or significant event has impacted your life in your analysis.
- If this event is still happening, include how it affects you now and how it might affect your future. If it has already happened, write about how it has affected you.
